What Is CNC Machining
The CNC process involves using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programs written in proprietary code called G-Code and M-Code. These programs control features like raw material feed rate, piece positioning, and cutting speed. A set of programs are written and uploaded into the machine's computer memory. This controls the machine's movements on a scale that is accurate down to +/-0.005" tolerances.
