It certainly isn't easy, but there are strategies that can help you succeed at juggling this larger load. Try these six tips to excel and maintain a school and at work life balance.

Focus on the future
School is a stepping stone to a successful career. You take classes to develop skills and become more knowledgeable about your field. When you're tired and ready to give up, remember why you got started in the first place. Focusing on your future goals will give you motivation to keep going.
Work on becoming more efficient
Is your phone distracting you in school? Do you procrastinate? Determine what obstacles are getting in the way of your job and school load, and do what is necessary to overcome them. One easy way to become more efficient is to avoid multi-tasking. Dedicate yourself to one subject or work task at a time and give yourself mini breaks in between those assignments to check email, texts and social media.
Say "no" when you need to
Saying "yes" to everything and taking on too much at once can be draining. Without energy, you won't be able to put in the effort that's needed to succeed! Practice saying no to social events and talk to your supervisor if you feel your work load is too much at the moment.
Talk to your employer about flexibility
More than likely, your employer wants you to do well in school. If a slight change in work hours or a work-from-home day (depending on your job, of course) can help with classes and won't sacrifice your performance on the job, talk with your supervisor about these more flexible options.
Help yourself by getting healthy
Staying up late to study and grabbing on-the-go meals because it's faster will make it more difficult for you to stay focused in the long run. Prioritize your health by getting quality sleep, eating well and exercising. Even socializing will improve your mental health and give you some much needed energy throughout the week.
Don't be afraid to ask for help
Most importantly, remember that it's okay to ask for help. Talk to professors, more experienced students, your supervisor and co-workers when you're having trouble with a concept or specific task. These people want to help you and will view your determination as a positive quality.
